One lucky bingo winner in Carlisle can’t believe her luck. The 27 year old scooped £10,000 on her first bingo game. The lady reported to be from the Longsowerby area, won the house jackpot on the Gala High 5 Link Game during a visit to city’s Gala Bingo on Sunday evening. Having never played bingo before she joined the club that evening and took part in the famous game with giant prize jackpots. The High 5 Link games is played at all Gala Bingo clubs and players compete for the top prize of £250,000 half of which the winner gets and the other half is split between all players at that club. The newbie bingo player won the game on number 20 which was the 47th number to be called. Operations manager at Carlisle’s Gala Bingo, Dave Redpath, commented: “She was over the moon and said she couldn’t believe her good luck. “When I said Christmas was just around the corner she just laughed. She was here with her friend. “Both of them were new members.”
