Two US bingo clubs were closed due to bomb threats last Friday raising security fears for other establishments. Bingo fans playing their favourite game were evacuated from the premises as two bomb threats were called in at two separate clubs. Local media reported that a suspicious package was found at Pondella Bingo in North Fort Myers in the US, later investigations by the Lee County Bomb Squad revealed the package to be a box of fuses. A few minutes after the first club registered the bomb threat a second bingo club was also the victim of a false alert; South 41 Bingo on Cleveland Avenue. The club was also evacuated and the premises searched which led to another suspicious box being located, this once again turned out to be filled with fuses.
