An 88-year-old bingo winner was mugged and her winnings stolen Sunday evening. The pensioner was knocked to the ground and her handbag stolen in the cowardly attack. The elderly victim suffered sprained wrist, knee injuries and bruising during the attack in Keresley End, Coventry, police confirmed. The lady had been travelling with her husband on a bus from Radford Road in the city after winning around £120. Warwickshire Police officers are looking into whether the criminal had been on the same bus and have appealed for anyone on the number 36 bus, which arrived in Keresley at 9:50pm to contact them. The husband of the lady who was reported to be 80 years old chased the attacker down Old Winnings Road where the incident happened but lost sight of him as he entered Cross Street.
