The Mecca bingo club in Crewe gave away £2.4m to its customers in 2010 as manager claims bingo is as popular as ever.

Within the region the gaming giant gave away £49 million and nationally the company paid out a whopping £300 million. Gill Clark, the general manager at the Crewe club commented: “To give away this amount of prize money to our club customers in only one year is just fantastic.

“Bingo is as popular as ever and the chances of winning a life enhancing amount of money are huge.

“I think people new to the game always find it surprising how frequent the wins can actually be with bingo, whether in clubs or online.

“There’s always a fantastic atmosphere in club when someone wins and other customers are genuinely happy for the winner. There’s a real sense of excitement and camaraderie.

“Above all else, that is what Mecca is about; providing a fun and safe environment for our customers to come and socialise with one another, and the team members here, while enjoying a game of bingo.”

Mecca Moments, the latest promotional campaign, aims to give away £10,000 in clubs and a further £10,000 online until March 13 inclusive.
