The Gala Bingo channel has dumped its Sky TV channel and is to be shown exclusively on the web from today. The etv media group, which produces the content for the Gala Bingo channel and is responsible for the online launch described the change as "a strategic move to align with changes in viewing and playing habits". Managing director of etv media group, Mark Murphy, commented: "Gala TV has proved a fantastic success, and the move online is a conscious strategic decision made with the advent of social TV and increasing online viewing figures firmly in mind." The relaunched channel will broadcast 24 hours a day on the Gala Bingo website.
