The Betfair Group has announced that it will be sharing profits with third party developers. The gaming giant is offering a five percent share of revenues generated from their Betfair integrated mobile products. The company claims that it has launched the initiative to stimulate and support innovation which will lead to an increase in the number of high quality mobile applications used by customers. Since 2005 the Betfair Exchange platform has been open to third part developers which has allowed them to build applications that provide players with a personalised interface. Betfair spokesman, Tom Johnson, commented: "We are excited about the future potential and growth we've already seen in mobile betting and we're keen to work with our developer community to build more high quality mobile products for our three million customers."
