A land based bingo operator which has asked not to be named at this stage is looking at forming partnerships with online bingo operators in a first of its kind sponsorship deal. The bingo operator which has ‘a number of bingo clubs’ in the UK is looking into the idea of forming an exclusive multi year deal with ‘one or two’ of the big named online bingo operators. The deal would include each of the bingo sites being branded with the online bingo brand; all bingo books, pens and dabbers would also endorse the name of the online company. The deal would provide the opportunity for the company to promote the online bingo brand through the use of the clubs databases and share in the promotions and communicating with customers. Given the amount of money that online bingo operators are currently spending on TV advertising in which they target a mass audience this would be a highly attractive proposition. When you use TV advertising you accept that a big percentage of your audience has no interest in your product. Being able to advertise your brand where the target audience is already interested in the product is likely to be much more successful in terms of conversion rates at a fraction of the cost.
