The Gliderhome bingo club in Boston has been given an award for support it has provided for problem gamblers. The club in Spain Place was awarded the GREaTer Foundation’s Silver status. The charity for the gambling industry raises funds to support research, education and treatment of problem gambling. The award was announced at Ascot Racecourse on the weekend of the Grand National. The director of The GREaT Foundation, Geoffrey Godbold, added that last had been ‘very tough financially’ which it was ‘even more gratifying to see organisations such as the Gliderdrome making a special effort’. The award was announced at Ascot Racecourse, on the same weekend as the Grand National.
