While there have been numerous criticisms over the Irish taxation plans William Hill has launched a new Irish internet gambling website. The latest website will provide Irish gamblers a variety of betting opportunities on local and global sporting events the company said. It has been reported that the gambling giant has spent more than a year developing the new site with the intention of competing for a slice of the estimated Euro 1 billion Irish online betting and gaming market. Every week players will be given more than 500,000 betting opportunities on a host of events including GAA, football, horse racing, rugby, golf, motor sports, US sports and a wide range of Irish novelty markets. The site will also offer Irish players bingo, poker, casino, and slot games. Mobile betting will also be integrated within the site with the ability to use four mobile apps Mobile sportsbook, Racing App (Racing Post/WilliamHill), Shake-A-Bet and Match predictor. We're really excited about our new Irish venture and we're confident it will be a huge hit with Irish punters,' commented Tony Kenny, head of international public relations at William Hill, The site itself took a year to design, develop and test, but all good things take time." He also suggested that in addition to the twenty Irish people working for William Hill Online the company will be looking for more top quality Irish staff to join the team as it expands with its global expansion plans.
