Regular bingo player Irene Lee, 79, is celebrating after a £6,582 jackpot win. The luck player at the Mecca Bingo club in Doncaster could have missed out but decided to swap her session at the last minute. She told the local media: “I normally go along and play at night but I couldn’t make it so went along in the afternoon. “I was just in complete shock when I realised I had won and how much I had won. “I was just overcome with it all. Everyone was coming up to me telling me how marvellous it was and how pleased they were for me.” Irene, has been a regular bingo player at the club for 21 years and her latest jackpot win was on the national bingo game, which sees bingo players from other clubs joining in. Irene won a £100 a few days before and scooped a £4,000 win a few years back at another bingo club.
