Friends Dorothy Brough and Glenys Lightfoot that run local bingo sessions in the village of Madeley are celebrating after they have found a new home for their weekly bingo games. After 20 years of running the bingo games they had to stop using the village hall and there was concerns over the future for the group. As a result of losing the village hall attendees to the bingo sessions have dropped however the two hosts are hoping their new permanent home will see more players. "It's a brilliant centre for everyone in the village and I think it's going to be popular with a lot of community groups," the 80-year-old added. The local newspaper reported that the brand new £2 million Madeley Centre is to be the new location of the games, which are held every Thursday from 19:30 BST.
