A popular online bingo site in the US has been seized by the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland team in Maryland. The domain name funtimebingo.com now reveals the familiar notice from the Department of Justice which will serve as a further warning to those operators still taking deposits from US residents. In recent weeks online bingo operators had generally escaped seizure of the US authorities but no doubt bingo operators this week will be looking to review their operations and close their doors to the US market before their online site displays the dreaded Department of Justice logo! It is claimed that all online bingo operators on the ‘White List’ which are located in places such as Gibraltar, Alderney, Malta and Isle of Man do not accept US players and therefore are unlikely to face any action from the US authorities.
