Betfair the UK online gambling group has seen mobile gamblers increase by 122% in the last 12 months. Punters that find themselves struggling to enjoy their favourite pastimes in traditional ways such as land based sites or on the computer are taking advantage of the abilities of latest smart phones. The betting group reported an 88 percent increase in sales in its recent financial accounts. "Over £1 billion worth of bets were placed on via our mobile products in fiscal year 2011. Those figures are really encouraging and are spurring us on to keep on innovating in this space, added the new vice president of mobile for Betfair, Raj Vemulapalli. He went on to add that developing mobile products was a key priority for the company. Most online bingo operators either already have the facilities for bingo players to play on their phones are looking at bringing them to market in the near future.
