Ada Barclay, a great-great-grandmother and bingo fan has just celebrated her 106th birthday. Living on her own until the age of 99, she puts her old age down to keep busy which includes playing bingo. A resident at the Cochrane Care Home in Johnstone, she celebrated her latest birthday earlier this week local media reported. A busy mother of seven children, Ada has not lost her lust for life and still enjoys various activities every day. Her daughter May who herself is 84 told the paper that her mother had a lovely day with friends and family. May added that her mother's old age was down to her good standard of living and the fine level of care she received at the care home: "Although mum has to use a wheelchair, she does her exercises, goes to bingo and sometimes goes out for tea in the afternoon and she gets her hair done every week,". Lets hope Ada can enjoy bingo for a few more years yet.
