The online betting company, Betfair has ended its two year sponsorship of FC Barcelona after reportedly reviewing its marketing strategy. The new plans see four ambassadors being signed up to front the brand. Following the appointment of Alasdair Wright two months ago as the Global Head of Customer Marketing and Loyalty the online operator is looking to make some changes. The new four ambassadors fronting Betfair are England cricketer Michael Vaughan, British horse trainer Paul Nicholls, former professional English footballer Lee Dixon and former England and Lions Rugby player Will Greenwood. Reports also suggest that the company will continue with the sponsorship and remain as the official betting company of Manchester United Football Club. A spokesperson for Betfair commented: "Betfair is evolving the way we leverage our sponsorship assets to prioritise social platforms, and help build engagement with existing and (potential) customers."
