One online bingo site was caught out after not thinking through its promotions and reports claim that it has done the right thing by paying players out. Whether it had a lot of choice is another matter. Caesars Bingo, which is part of the Harrah’s group, launched its online bingo site aimed at the UK online market around a year ago. While the site operates on the Gamesys software platform, with rivals such as Jackpot Joy and Sun Bingo, failure to review their marketing strategy has cost tens of thousands of pounds. The error related to the first deposit bonus offer in which offered a fairly common 200% cash match up to the value of £400. Therefore if you credited £100 of your own money to your bingo account then you were given a further £300 of free money to play with. Generally sites have stringent withdrawal constraints with multiple wagering requirements and the fact that you cannot withdrawal bonus funds to stop players being able to profit out of such offers. However it appears that Caesars Bingo overlooked the withdrawal constraints which meant that players were depositing, collecting bonus funds, playing and then withdrawing all of their funds. The online bingo site has admitted that it was their mistake and has honoured the payments according to reports. The reality however, is that players worked this out pretty quickly and Caesars Bingo had reportedly already made the payments prior to realising the mistake. It seems that the sight is however looking at players that looked to take advantage of the situation by opening multiple accounts which is against the terms and conditions and therefore maybe a case of fraud. Don’t think that you can still take advantage of this error as it has been resolved.
