A woman from Morecombe is celebrating after winning a place in the Ultimate Bingo Championships in Gibraltar where she could scoop the £100,000 prize money and a trip to Las Vegas.

Anne Lindley, 70, has won the four-star luxury short break to the British colony and has the chance to scoop the top prize.

Anne commented: “I had a great time at the semi-finals in Leeds and if I perform just as well at the finals then I’ll be very happy. I’m taking my best friend with me to Gibraltar although I haven’t even thought about what I’ll do with the money if I do win!”

She added: "I couldn't believe it when I won the regional title — I still can't believe it," she said. "Gibraltar is somewhere I have always wanted to visit, so I am very excited about going."

One lucky winner of the Ultimate Bingo Championship will scoop £100,000 and holiday of a lifetime to Las Vegas. Members of clubs including Barnsley, Blackburn, Bradford, Burnley, Chorley, Doncaster, Grimsby, Keighley, Preston, Rotherham, Scunthorpe, Wakefield, Sheffield Parkway and Sheffield Wadsley will all be jetting off to Gibraltar for the chance to become The Ultimate winner of 2011
