A recent survey shows that the majority of people in the UK do believe in luck. William Hill Bingo has sponsored a survey into luck as part of their ‘Win a Car a Day’ promotion. The results suggest that 69% of people believe in luck and 31% of people don’t. The bingo operator also looked at different regions and the belief in superstition. Results differed in different regions within the UK with the numbers showing the Irish were believers in luck with 62.5% of those survey voting yes, while in Scotland 71% of those taking part in the survey didn’t believe in luck. People from the North West, North East, Yorkshire, the Midlands don’t class themselves as lucky, but the Welsh (55.3%), Londoners (54.2%) and Easterners (52.2%), class themselves in the lucky bracket. When questioned about superstitions 57.5 of Britons said they were superstitious. The survey showed 39.8% of people wouldn’t walk under a ladder and 30% wouldn’t reveal birthday wishes. The survey also claims that 7 is the luckiest number. The survey was sponsored by the online bingo operator in conjunction with its ‘Win a Car a Day’ promotions. The site is giving away either a Fiat Panda or a Fiat 500 every day this month. To be in with the chance of winning a brand new car simply place your name in the daily prize draw box. There are two ways of earning prize draw entries. You can play bingo online or play the side games at the William Hill site. The second way to win one of the 31 cars being given away is to call bingo on the number 61. Whether you claim for a line, two lines, full house or which ever game they all count and will get you two entries into the draw for a daily car. Every time you stake £1 on bingo tickets with real money you will earn one point. A £5 bet on scratch cards or a £10 spend on online slots will also get you 1 point. At the end of the day your points are added up and 3-4 points gets you one entry, 5-9 points gets you 3 entries and 10 points or more gets you 5 entries into the daily prize draws.
