Bingo players in Doncaster are urged to take part in their favourite game while helping a good cause. Local organisers are trying to raise £33,000 in order to repair the roof of the Miserton’s All Saints’ Church. A prize bingo event is to be held on Friday 18th November to raise money for the fund which has already raised over £9,000. The roof repairs are needed after the church has been hit by a number of lead thefts over the last eight years and the cost to repair the damage is a massive £33,000. Hopefully a series of bingo events which will no doubt be enjoyed by local residents will help organisers to reach their target. Other Events to Raise Funds include: Firefighters based at the Misterton station are washing cars – with all proceeds going to the Parish Church’s Roof Appeal. The car wash is on Saturday 19 November from 10.00am to 4.00pm. And while customers’ cars are being cleaned, refreshments will be available. An evening of Songs from the Shows with Sally Hartley on Saturday 26 November at All Saints’ Church. Tickets £8 for adults (£5 concessions), 7.00pm
