New Bus Plans for Leicestershire Bingo Event

A Leicestershire community centre is planning to provide its own transport for stranded bingo fans.

The Palace Community Centre, in Ibstock, north west Leicestershire, wants to help people who would like to attend the popular Thursday evening games but do not have access to alternative transport.

Wendy Gerrard, the organiser, claimed bingo numbers had declined since County Hall withdrew support for a subsidised bus service last year.

The community centre hopes that the new service will allow them to collect bingo fans up and drop them off at home after the bingo session has finished.

Ms Gerrard added: "We know plenty of people will want to use the bus."

For further details players can call 01530 267303.
