| Top Ten Bingo to close more Clubs |

Top Ten have announced plans to close more bingo clubs not long after the recent closure of Fleetwood. Since the new tax changes and the indication that the Government will remain firm on the recent tax hike has led to the consultation of more of their bingo estate. It is rumoured that 8 clubs are at risk of closure and we have unconfirmed reports of the club closures but awaiting confirmation. Neath was on the list but this has been confirmed as a closure by the This is South Wales newspaper. The Top Ten bingo club will close its doors on 20 September 2009. The local councillor Mal Gunter said he was surprised by the news, but if he had seen the recent protests carried out by the bingo industry over the recent tax changes then any bingo club closure at this moment in time should not come as a shock to anyone |
