Time ran out during the finance speech today at around 10.35pm which means the bingo industry are going to have to wait another 24 hours to find out its fate. 5 amendments have now been tabled by MPs to revise the tax hike that was brought in by treasury in this year's budget. MPs will come back to the Houses of Common chamber tomorrow and it is hoped the amendments tabled will be considered and voted through to secure the future of land based bingo clubs. The bingo industry is now waiting for the finance bill to be concluded before deciding on its next course of action. Hopefully the government will see the value that bingo clubs add to communities whilst considering the strain the new tax regime has put on the bingo industry. Parliament will be back tomorrow at an earlier time of 12.30pm and Bingo Supermarket hope to have an update at around 6pm tomorrow evening.
