| Bingo player celebrates 100th birthday |

Mrs Isabella Bell celebrated her 100th birthday with staff and members of the Beach Bingo club in North Shields this Saturday. Mrs Bell who has been a regular player there for years was delighted to find the club decked out with banners and balloons and was surprised at the start of the main session with a chorus of “happy birthday” badly led by club owner Rob Garrard, a cake, a basket of flowers and the news that she would enjoy free bingo at the club forever!
Rob Garrard said: “ Belle is an inspiration to us all. Noone can believe her age when they first find out- she still helps out other less able members with their teas and coffees and is forever threatening to dance on the table when she wins a big one- I think she’d do it too!”
She has already received her card of congratulations from Her Majesty the Queen and we all wish her well. Keep going Belle! |
