Bingo prolongs life
Tuesday, 23 June 2009 16:38

Medical Researchers have said that playing bingo and having an active life in old age could reduce the chances of disability. The research has been published in The Archives of Internal Medicine Journal and continues by adding that staying active in old age will reduce the risk of disability by nearly two thirds. Death will be reduced by up to 40 percent.

The data from tests and research carried out by Doctor Aron S Buchman from Rush University and medical Centre in Chicago, North America stated that "Decline in motor function is a consequence of ageing, the data raises the possibility that social engagement can slow motor function decline".

This is not the first time that Bingo Supermarket has reported on the health benefits of bingo, a recent report stating that Bingo can slow down Alzheimer's which is also linked with keeping an active mind.

Bingo is still in confrontation with the government over the high tax paid and the Government do not recognise the importance of bingo and the value it adds to society along with health benefits
