A Loughborough based bingo club is to stage an alternative Bingo night following on from the recent success of the Meltdown night that Bingosupermarket reported in the bingo news section last month for the sister club at Beacon Northampton. The Beacon Bingo has been experiencing difficult trading conditions since the smoking ban and are now experimenting with various promotions to attract a much wider market. Our researchers spoke to club General Manager Kevin Farnsworth who commented " In the current economic climate and the fact that Loughborough is populated by students, the key thing is to diversify by conducting an alternative bingo evening to get new people through the doors to see what the club is like".
The club is hiring a stage and a production company to run a carnival week. The events will include two nights of entertainment hosted by drag queens, loud amplified music as well as 4 alternative games of bingo. The first meltdown night will be held after the main bingo 10pm on Friday evening 5th June 2009 and the second one planned for the following Friday on the 12th June. To kick off the event the bingo club are offering a free naughty parrot to the first 100 players. Midweek, the bingo club has invited The Centurion strippers down to perform after the bingo session on Wednesday 10th June 2009 at 9.45pm. Bingosupermarket have been invited down to attend the Meltdown evenings and intend on reporting back on how the events went and if they have been well received. |
