The recent downturn in the land based bingo industry and the continuing strength of the online bingo trade has applied pressure to the UK Bingo Association. The withdrawel of Gala Bingo and a few other companies that struggled to meet subscription payments, the Bingo Association has struggled to maintain its funding and having to undergo a major restructure. The Bingo Association is holding its first Annual General Meeting since the withdrawel from Gala and a low key meeting with a low turnout is expected. However new members are expected to attend and join the Association since new gambling regulations force holiday centres who play bingo on site to hold full Bingo operating licences which in turn makes them eligible to join and even take a seat on the Executive commitee.
