A newspaper aritcle featured in 'this is Somerset' newspaper publication has reported a new bingo club is to open in a former nightclub. A mystery consortium has applied for a licence to the Mendip Council and a decision is expected at the end of this month. The consortium have done well to keep the project under wraps as there has been no formal application made to planning department at Mendip council for the conversion. The proposal at the Kingsway precinct in Frome will be a relatively modest bingo hall operating on 9 bingo sessions a week, 3 afternoons and 6 evenings creating around 10 jobs. The 300 seater bingo club is said to be ready for operation next month which remains to be seen. |
