| Robbers net thousands in Mecca bingo club break in |

It has been reported this morning that a gang of thieves have stolen thousands having broke into a bingo club in Southampton. The thieves ransacked fruit machines in the club and have destroyed 20 of the clubs machines.
Police described the sum taken as "significant" and said the break-in was "very well planned". A Mecca Bingo spokesman commented on the late-night break in: "Thankfully no staff or customers were in the club at the time." While the exact figure is yet to be disclosed the damage to the machines and lost revenues over the coming days is likely to add thousands of pounds to the losses. |
