Mecca Bingo is running a nationwide experiment this week to find the luckiest mascot in the country. Will it be our favourite the black cat?

Like many others on Friday 13th August, Mecca Bingo in York will be monitoring players lucky charms to find which is the luckiest. The manager at the York site, Lynne Butterworth commented: “Friday 13th is reputed to be unlucky. However, we don’t believe that. This experiment will not only prove that Friday 13th can in fact be lucky, but it will also reveal Britain’s luckiest mascot!”

Bingo players will be split into four teams with one of the four lucky mascots printed on their books; a lucky horseshoe, a black cat, a four leaf clover or a lucky Buddha.

During both the afternoon and evening bingo sessions a scoreboard will keep track to calculate the most wins gained by each team. Mecca Bingo clubs across the country will be keeping tracking of their scores and these will then be added up to find out which is the luckiest charm of all.
