A single unemployed mother has had a double whammy after finding a job and winning £28,000 within a few days. Lacey Salter who is just 26 won the life changing amount at the Mecca Bingo club in Taunton. Lacey, of Fowler Street was so shocked she still hasn’t decided what she will be doing with her new windfall. She added: “I’m going to put £5,000 in savings for my son, Owen (aged seven), and let the rest sit in the bank. “I might get a new car at some stage, I’m not really sure. “They say luck comes in threes – last week I got a job as a care assistant, then won £28,000, so I’m hoping for something else. “When my numbers came up, I was shouting, screaming and dancing around the bingo hall. “I’ve been going to bingo twice a week for six years and I’ll keep going because I might win again.” She had to wait around half an hour after the bingo game having won the full house on just 38 numbers. The general manager of the Mecca Bingo club in Taunton, Davina Warden, added: “We were all thrilled for her – the club just went mad and everyone was screaming with delight and applauding her.”
