The interactive gaming company NetPlay TV has invited interested parties to make an offer on its bingo assets, including its Bingos operating arm and domain names including Bingo.it. The latest plans are part of the restructuring program aimed at making the company return to a profitable status. The company which is listed on the AIM stock market raised £2.5 million through a share placing last week. NetPlay only acquired assets such as the Bingos business for €8m in 2008 and is inviting ‘expressions of interest’ from companies looking to purchase the bingo assets. It has been that they are looking to sell the UK divisions outright, but are considering local marketing and licensing partners for the Spanish and Italian businesses. NetPlay also owns the Bigno.fr and Bigno.de domain names and it is unsure what plans they have for these. The company has clearly decided to focus on its core online and interactive TV casino businesses, including Challenge Jackpot, SuperCasino and Roulette Nation. Bingo revenues for the company accounted to around £1.7 million out of the company’s £11 million revenues for the first half of the year. Shares in the company had have fallen more than 75 percent to less than 5 pence after it announced in September that its first half losses had more than doubled to £7.9 million. Shares in the company had climbed to 28p in April 2009 following an agreement with ITV to provide the BingoStars and Roulette Nation interactive shows on the TV. NetPlay claimed that they had invested heavily into the project which failed to meet expectations which saw investors run for the hills. Investors that are interested in the bingo assets need to express interest by 14th November.
