Popular bingo fan Mary Sturman has been going to the club based on Kilner Way, Halifax Road every Sunday for over a decade. So, to show their thanks for her continued support to the club, Mary’s daughter Winifred Brazer and Gala Bingo general manager David Ryley decided to mark the impressive milestone in style. A limousine collected Mary from her house and she was whisked off to the club and welcomed by a red carpet and over 100 people including her friends, family and Gala Bingo staff. They were then all treated to a special Christmas banquet to celebrate ahead of Mary’s actual birthday on 15 December. David Ryley said: “Mary comes down to the club every Sunday without fail, so we wanted to ensure we marked this momentous occasion properly. It was absolutely fantastic to see so many people join in the celebrations and watch Mary blow out the candles on her cake for her big day.” Absolutely delighted with how the celebration went, Winifred Brazer said: “My Mum was completely shocked and overwhelmed by her surprise and the turnout at the club on Sunday. She absolutely loves going to Gala Bingo every week and looks forward to catching up with all her friends and staff as everyone is so friendly. She added: “The day was absolutely fantastic and she had a great time. She even got up and danced with the staff at one point! Thank you so much Gala Bingo for making her birthday so special.”
