Stacey Solomon has been named celebrity mum of the year much to the disgust of Kerry Katona. Foxy Bingo has sponsored the I'm A Celebrity winner.

Solomon, who has a son Zachary, shot to fame as a finalist in The X Factor in 2009.

Stacey won a new legion of fans when she went into the Australian jungle for ITV1's I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here late last year.

It’s all good news for Stacey. Last week the singer, who comes from Dagenham in east London, was unveiled as the new face of frozen food chain Iceland.

Other names who made the shortlist - after public nominations - were Samantha Cameron, Myleene Klass and Kerry Katona.

Ironically Stacey Soloman is replacing Kerry Katona as the new face of frozen food chain Iceland. Kerry was dropped in 2009 after she was caught snorting cocaine.

Stacey will appear in the supermarket’s advertising campaign later this year.

She said: “I’m really excited to be working with Iceland. I have always been such a big fan so it feels perfect.”

During the competition, Solomon and her fellow The X Factor finalists gained a UK number one single with a cover of Michael Jackson's "You Are Not Alone".
