Mecca Bingo clubs throughout the UK are launching their search to find out the most talented residents in their areas as part of the nationwide competition. The search kicks off on Saturday 2nd April and winners could find themselves at the finals in the Midlands with a £5,000 cash prize, a pair of tickets to the Britain’s Got Talent Live Tour 2011 and a year-long contract with entertainment agency, Stagepalm. Paul Goy, club manager of Mecca Doncaster, added: “We had a great response last year and saw some very talented acts but we know there are more people out there who deserve their moment in the spotlight.” Club Manager of Mecca Crewe Gill Clark added:“From singers to dancers and jugglers to impersonators, we want to hear from anyone who can keep an audience entertained. We’re really looking forward to seeing those hidden talents!” The club finals will take place in May and will be judged by up to three judges from the local community, with the winning act receiving a pair of tickets to the Britain’s Got Talent Live Tour 2011 and they will be invited to compete in a regional semi-finals event. Ten regional winners will then go through to a national final on Saturday, July 16, at a Mecca Bingo club in the Midlands, with TV’s Lorraine Kelly as host. The star said: “I’m really thrilled to be part of Mecca’s talent search for the second year in a row. The quality of acts in last year’s final was fantastic, so I’ve got high hopes for this year!”
