A family plans to continue running special bingo sessions in memory of their wife and mum, who was the founder.

June Fox established the bingo night and founded the Humberston Heartbeaters in order to raise funds for the coronary care unit of the Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby as well as other good causes the local media reports.

June dedicated her life to the fundraising initiatives following two major heart operations. She had the first operation when she was just four months pregnant with her youngest daughter.

The 76-year-old superstar recently suffered a fatal heart attack and her proud husband and daughters have pledged to continue the good work.

Despite a number of health problems including breast cancer, diabetes and a heart condition June Fox raised more than £20,000 with her bingo nights over the years

Her partner Danny told the media "June loved bingo, so she decided to hold weekly bingo nights and it just took off from there. It became a family affair."

The charity group plans to hold bingo evening on the first Wednesday of each month in Wendover Hall, Humberston, with bingo starting at 19:30 BST.
