Robbers have attacked a bingo club in Brighton and made off with around £1,000 from tills in the foyer. The two men, one of which was armed with a sharp instrument, threatened staff at the bingo club in Moulsecoomb Way. Police said the four members of staff were unhurt but badly shaken after the ordeal which occurred on Sunday evening at 19:30. The robbers who were dressed in black with covered heads fled from the scene by a side entrance in the building and got into a new style silver Mondeo saloon. They were described as being about 5ft 6in tall, of slim build and in their late 20s. The vehicle which had been stolen from Worthing on the Saturday was found abandoned in Southall Road. No bingo players were present at the time of the robbery.
