Praesepe plc, which is the UK’s fastest growing low stake high volume gaming company, is organising a five-a-side football tournament and family day to raise funds for the children’s charity Chips. The charity was founded around 10 years ago on behalf of the gaming industry in order to raise money to purchase specialised powered wheelchairs for youngsters with varying disabilities.

Prasepe purchased the Beacon Bingo estate which included 26 adult gaming centres and 6 bingo clubs, amongst which was the club in Cricklewood, for around £45 million, last year. The company currently manages 171 adult gaming centres in the UK, four family entertainment centres, six bingo clubs and an online bingo web site.

Chips provides these wheelchairs for children who would otherwise have no way of getting around on their own. We buy the wheelchairs that the NHS cannot or will not provide and that the parents cannot afford to buy.

Thanks to the Casino and Gaming Industry, CHIPS has raised nearly £700,000 and has given nearly 300 wheelchairs to these youngsters.

There are, however, many more children who need our help.

The Chips Charity committee, which is formed from senior members of the Gaming Industry, works for free, no expenses are deducted and every penny raised goes towards providing the quality of life that is the right of every child.
