There are now just two bidders in the race to purchase the UK Government owned Tote betting group. It has been reported that Betfred is likely to bid around £200 million. The other bidder is Sir Martin Broughton, whose offer is underwritten by Oakley Capital and the favourite of the two bids with the racing industry. Oakley has agreed to take a 25% stake in the Tote if government ministers agree to the offer. |
