Foxy Bingo has just launched it first (and more than likely last) perfume range using Lauren Goodger off The Only Way Is Essex to front the new campaign. However, reader’s comments (and there are pages and pages) on the Daily Mail website suggest that perfume and bingo are not perceived to be such a good mix.

Miss Goodger snuggled up close to Foxy Bingo as she launched the online gaming site's new fragrance - and took the opportunity to talk about her role in the popular TV show and the Bafta chances.

She added: 'To be honest with you, it is bizarre because we're not actors or actresses, we've not been in this industry for a long time or worked hard and gone to drama school.

'So I think we've got a good chance but who knows? It would be a great thing if we did win.

'I'm privileged to be going, I'm one of the ones who have been invited as not all the cast have been, which is a shame. The main characters are invited. I'm excited, I can't wait, I really can't.

She added that she was ‘thrilled’ when Foxy Bingo asked her to front Foxy Bingo Furever perfume campaign, and helping to choose the fragrance.

She added: 'I thought it was a really nice campaign to do. I helped picked the fragrance, the Essex smell, if you like. It's very fruity and refreshing and summer's on its way, so it blends in with this time of year.

'It's been fun. It was really girlie, choosing the fragrance, and that's what I'd like to do, I love my make-up and perfume and all that. '

Clearly readers at the Daily Mail were not so enthusiastic about the new money making campaign that Foxy Bingo have come up with. There were just too many comments to read, below is a selection of some of them. We couldn’t find any supportive comments…. Sorry Foxy.

What ever happened to the idea of perfume being glamorous and making you feel special.. i'm not quite sure how foxy bingo will be able to do that for women..

For some reason I find the idea of a previously unknown reality TV "star" getting paid to promnote a perfume marketed by an online bingo company quite funny......

I am left lost for words! Both for the 'brand' and the 'reporting' of it! This goes beyond scraping the barrel on every count!

This has to be a spoof perfume ad to promote the bingo company does it not? Who would buy a furry bingo perfume? Haha. I imagine it to smell like bingo halls

Im not sure how suitable it is to have a creature that some would class as "vermin" in your "perfumes haha" campaign that knocks over your bin bags late at night often causing a disturbance by screeching and yapping etc and im equally not sure how good an idea it is to have a fox in it either.

Oh dear - Lauren Goodger's a joke! I suppose it's quite fitting: a cheap 'celebrity' for a cheap fragrance.
