| Mecca Bingo and Grosvenor Casino Report Positive Results |

Rank, the parent company of Grosvenor Casinos and Mecca Bingo, has released its latest trading statement showing growth in both the UK casino and bingo operations. Total revenues for the group for the 25 weeks to 19th June 2011 increased by 4 percent and the company remains confident of meeting its full year targets. Mecca Bingo saw like for like revenues increase by 2 percent for the ten week period to the 19th June. Spend per visit also increased by 3 percent although customer visits declined by 1 percent. As a result of the closure of underperforming bingo clubs total revenue growth declined slightly. The online operations, Rank Interactive, saw a massive increase in revenues, up 28 percent for the ten week period. The Grosvenor Casino chain reported a 13 percent increase in revenues for the 10 week period with customer visits up 12 percent and the spend per visit up 1 percent. The Spanish operations, Top Rank Espana, fell 19 percent for the ten week period in Sterling or 22 percent when calculated in Euros. The company claimed that the smoking ban was the main reason for the decline as customer visits fell by 13 percent and the amount spent per visit dropped by 6 percent. Rank is still confident it is an 'attractive market' to be operating in. Rank added that the company had made a good start to the year a significant improvement of the balance sheet, growth in customers and customer visits.
