Bingo players at a bingo club in Leicester have been robbed while they were playing their favourite game. Three men wearing masks broke into the busy bingo club on Monday demanding that staff hand over the money from the safe and forced bingo players to hand over their valuables. It is unknown whether the robbers were armed, however it was reported in the local paper that both the staff and bingo players at the Mecca Bingo club at Freemen’s Common in Leicester were left shaken from the ordeal. After getting the staff to hand over the takings from the evening, the cowardly criminals forced bingo players to hand over their wallets, purses and mobile phones. A Mecca Bingo spokesperson has said that while no one was injured during the incident counselling would be offered to its staff. The three men are described as stocky and wearing dark clothing.
