Bingo Club Robbery Foiled and Five Arrested

Police have arrested five people that attempted to break into a Mecca Bingo club on Thursday evening. The foiled burglary occurred at the Eltham’s Mecca Bingo club at around 11pm.

 

Police closed of Eltham Hill for three hours following the incident. The Police confirmed that four people had entered the bingo club with balaclavas covering their faces armed with hammers and cable ties.

Police Officers from the Met’s Trojan unit were alerted and managed to arrest five people at the scene. Two of them aged 19 and 22 were arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary, two other males, 23 and 19, were arrested on suspicion of commercial robbery and a 22 year old female was arrested suspected of conspiracy to rob the bingo club.

All five were held in custody in a south London police station. No money was stolen during the incident.
