Two well known twins from Swaffham have raised £800 for Swaffham Business Forum’s Christmas lights fund by hosting a local bingo night. Joyce Askew and Jean Steed organised the highly-successful bingo night in the town’s Assembly Rooms on Thursday with more than 150 people turning up to play the UK’s favourite game. The twins were thanked by the forum for organising the bingo fundraiser and presented with bouquets. Thanks also went to town councillor Paul Darby for acting as caller and to all those who donated prizes. The lighting scheme will see the festive lights being switched on next Friday during an evening of seasonal activities in the Market Place and Assembly Rooms.
