Managers in bingo clubs up and down the country will more than likely be looking at the club admissions and income and thinking how well they are doing when compared with last year. However this more than likely has a lot to do with the weather and could be short-lived. Last year the weather was really severe with significant amounts of snow in this same week which reduced admissions at most bingo clubs by 20-50% for the whole week and it took around 10 days to get back to normal. The weather since the end of the summer has been pretty good towards bingo with no significant changes. We had a few days of glorious sun in October that obviously took its tolls with people enjoying the outdoors rather than playing bingo. However things might be about to change slightly as while the weather has been generally mild for this time of year the forecasters are expected temperatures to drop to the normal levels and there maybe some snow in high grounds. The forecast over the next 4 weeks is not showing anything too severe so land based bingo clubs operators will be hoping for a profitable festive period.
