| Rank Appoints Chartered Accountant as Director |

The Rank Group, which is the parent company for Mecca Bingo, has appointed a new independent non-executive director with effect from 1st January 2012. Colin Child will join the company audit and finance committees. The 54 year old Chartered Accountant is currently the group fiancé director of De La Rue plc, the commercial security printer and papermaker. Previously he was the group fiancé director of DTZ Holdings plc, Fitness First plc, Stanley Leisure plc and National Express Group plc. The Rank chairman and chief executive, Ian Burke, commented "I am delighted that Colin is joining the board of Rank. He brings considerable experience gained within large multi-national businesses operating in a wide range of sectors, including casino gaming. I am confident that his broad commercial experience will contribute significantly to the development of Rank in the future."
