The UK company, The Weather Lottery, is facing difficult times with its online gambling operations with financial reports showing the company losses increasing. With a per-tax loss of more than £789,000 for the year ending July and turnover only up slightly the company needs to review its position. The loss of just over £789,000 was an increase of £77,000 on the previous year in 2010. Turnover increased from £1,231,000 to £1,343,000 and the company has suggested that it is working hard at reducing costs and is hoping to sell off its FCBetz.com subsidary which made up £400,000 of the reported losses for the year. The company remains positive that revenues will increase in to 2012 and notes a number of adverse circumstances effecting revenues in its current report. Chairman Lord Razzall said: "As the results show this has been a difficult year for TWL, not all of which can be attributed to the hard economic climate in the leisure sector." In 2011 the company had to deal with its former director, Keith Millhench defrauding it of a significant amount of money, which resulted in legal costs and confiscatory measures against the disgraced director and his accomplice, a company employee.
