| Bingo Theft Leads to Police Public Warning |

Police in the Southend have issued a warning to the public after several incidents of items being stolen from woman's handbags. One of the incidents happened while a lady was at a Mecca Bingo club. The 33 year old lady had left her bag unattended while attending the Rock n' Roll bingo event at Mecca Bingo in Southend on Thursday 26th January. Her purse was stolen from the bag, with £50 in cash at around 10pm. A similar incident occurred the following day, which saw an 18 year old have her mobile phone stolen. Police are asking the local public to take extra care with their valuables.
