Comedian, Peter Kay, appeared on a big screen at Mecca Bingo, Moor Lane, Bolton last night. He was appearing live in London on The One Show on BBC One. During the interaction lucky players got to see and speak to the popular comedian. Peter drew out numbers and each number matched one of his fans who had a question ready.
And Lynn Richardson, aged 42, of Longfield Road, asked Peter: “You are of quite a generous build — if you lost a lot of weight, would your comic powers wane?” Peter said: “They say you are what you eat — I’m a Twix.” After the show, Lynn said: “I was quite nervy really even though he’s so down to earth and he’s a Bolton lad. “But it was a fantastic experience talking to him.” This is not the first time celebrities have called bingo games on the big screen. Vic Reeves was involved in the Big Screen Games Project at Huddersfield and Trafford Odeon Cinemas in 2007. The celebritiy hosted bingo games for cinema patrons live on the screen. The audience played bingo on mini touch-screen computers and interacted with the host, deciding which interval games they wanted to play. |
