A lucky lady in Merseyside has sccoped nearly £29,000 playing online bingo it has been revealed. Having not seen her daughter who lives in New Zealand for five years the winnings are a dream come true.

The St Helen's resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, won the jackpot on onew of the UK's most well known online bingo sites, Gala Bingo.

While anyone would be happy with such a significant amount of extra money, the winnings mean this family will be reunited after 5 years.

The lucky winner, whose daughter has lived on the other side of the world for eight years, commented: “We haven’t seen each other in five years and I am so excited about being reunited with her. Plus I’m over the moon as I will be able to see my beautiful grandchildren for the second time.”

The winning lady had, had been feeling in a lucky mood after winning £3 earlier in the evening, but had no idea she was about to win the Cash Climber Jackpot of £28,840.29.

The grandmother realised the difference the money would have on her life: “I jumped up and shouted upstairs to my son. I just couldn’t believe my eyes as I thought it said £28 not £28,000! Things like this just don’t happen to me. This win really has changed my life! I can’t wait to go and see my daughter in New Zealand and without this money I would not have been able to go. It just goes to show that anyone can win at Gala Bingo.”
