Lucky pensioner Ann Young of Whitley Bay won £10,000 this evening on the last game of the evening. As reported on Bingosupermarket just a few weeks ago it was announced that the independent operator, Beach Bingo was offering one of the largest in club full house bingo games to be played. The promotion was to run for a period of four weeks, it was unusual for a regular town bingo club to offer the whopping prize that was not part of a link, national or a progressive jackpot.

The last game in the main session bingo, where the prize moeny was won, was played by 231 people at the club. The game was part of the main session books and there was no extra cost to take part. The lucky pernsioner called for two lines on 43 numbers and as the claim was displayed it wasn't long before the whole club realised she was just waiting for one number, 87 for the full house. Club Manager and Owner, Rob Garrard, called the 44th number whilst holding the club in suspense, then the following number 87 came up and the bingo crowd went absolutely wild. Soon after the game, Mr Garrard, went down to congratulate the regular bingo player, as she broke down in tears of joy.
